Dr Parker is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and lectures in User Experience (UX) Design at Loughborough Design School. He has taught internationally within China and collaborated with the Chinese Academy of Fine Art (CAFA) on redesigning the city experience of Yantai; Shandong Province. He has also designed a large scale art installation for the international passenger arrivals transfer at Beijing's new airport

Dr Parker's recent research and publications focus on the emotional connection between technology and the user. By searching the way we as humans experience the world, we feel powerful yet hard to describe connections that encourage positive engagement behaviours.
