I'm a longtime Wikipedian ([1]) living in Southwark, South London.

I'm excited by this project - and currently live in a blank bit!

I don't have a gps (and I'm poor) but I'll try and find a way of contributing!

You don't need a gps in southwark!
You can map from the Yahoo aerial imagery -- then all you need to do is go out and find all the street names.

I'm also in London and don't have a GPS unit. I've been doing a fair bit of mapping recently using the Java Applet, now that we are allowed to use Yahoo! Aerial Imagery. It would definitely be good to see Southwark area mapped out a bit. We are so close to having a complete map of Central London! Southwark and South bank are one of the few unmapped areas. -- Harry Wood 15:58, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Ah thanks. I'm trying to get java working here (I may have to get bsd to pretend to be linux..). We lack major arteries like the Walworth Road (!) which I can certainly do with the applet.. Secretlondon 22:49, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
