I live in Rhein-Sieg-Kreis (Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany). I discovered OSM in 2006 or 2007, registered an account in 2008 and started editing on a regular basis in mid-2009 after getting hold of a Garmin Oregon 300.

Mapping
My mapping activity in recent years was mostly concentrated on Bamberg and its "hinterland" (up to Coburg, Erlangen/Nürnberg and Würzburg). I do map whenever MTBing, hiking, geocaching or being on the road. I generally use the excellent maps of openmtbmap by extremecarver.
Software
(K)Ubuntu with JOSM, mkgmap, OSM Composer, QLandkarteGT, sendmap/cgpsmapper and of course some scripts :)
Regarding geocaching: cachewolf, geotoad, sometimes GSAK or others.
