JOSM ubuntu packages

How much d'you know about using JOSM from the ubuntu package? There's a section here where we could describe this in some detail: JOSM/Linux#Debian (includes Ubuntu) Looking a bit vague at the moment. The impression I had was that the ubuntu packages were hopelessly out-of-date, but I could be wrong. Can you add some details there? The key question is.. should we recommend using them over downloading the josm-tested jar? Depends how well maintained the packages are. -- Harry Wood 20:17, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
