Translate to German categorisations

Hi there. Looking at your wiki edits: Special:Contributions/Deutsch_und_Stolz ...you seem to be going around various pages adding them in to Category:Translate to German, but mostly pages which should not have been put in this category. In particular you've put this on templates (outside of a <noinclude> section) which causes many many pages to be placed in that category.

What's the idea? Looks like this all needs to be undone to me

If we really want to provide translations of templates, I would suggest to modify a template page itself, so it displays e.g. german text when it's included in a page of the DE namespace. Creating additional german template pages like these one referenced at DE:Wiki_labels is NOT the way to go. But I think a user discussion page is not really the best place to discuss this issue. --Saerdnaer 13:39, 18 January 2012 (UTC)
In general, it's a good idea to translate all Wiki pages which have manual character into as many languages as possible – provided that there are people who will care about maintaining the translations. But I cannot see the sense in categorizing pages for translation into a particular language. German language may be important but with the same intention we would need to create categories for French, Russian, etc. Could get very confusing... I agree to Harry Woods suggestion that these edits should be undone. --Marqqs 13:53, 18 January 2012 (UTC)

DONE. I have reverted all of your wiki edits. I suggest you try some other types of wiki editing before you add any more categories. For example edit this page to say hello -- Harry Wood 00:17, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
