Category in HDM

Hi Nicolas,

I'm wondering what the "Category" in the HDM model actually stands for. It's use in various ways, sometimes a number is used, sometimes a name like "ID". Is there a inventory/an enumration/a canonical list of these categories?

Hi Gubaer, Tx 4 the message, I'll be emailing you and ideal if we can talk or IM on a couple of points.

Looking forward to, you can find me on Google Talk kguggisberg (a.t) googlemail.com --Gubaer 19:07, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

Category initially (DavidDruid's design of the template) stands for the key of the tag- Since this was redundant, I decided to use it to discriminate between (i) basic-core rapid response attributes; (ii) advanced specialized attributes (more long term). This was the 2 main categories I used while designing the United Nations Spatial Data Infrastructure for Transport (UNSDIT) of the UN Joint Logistics Centre which is the only humanitarian standard used widely by UN and main GIS NGos to manage transportation-related geodata- Happy to discuss the wording-

Organization of the HDM HFacs section

I am proposing to differenciate between the HDM and the mapping of the HDM with ohter DM in use in this Haiti response Happy to discuss and organize-

Good idea. Regarding Health Facilities, I've moved mapping to the PAHO model to a subpage. --Gubaer 19:00, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
