subway entrance

Hi, why was the relation information for subway entrances wrong? This is how they are being mapped and is very useful for subways with multiple entrances. http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:railway%3Dsubway_entrance

Hi. The previous version of the page told to create a relation of type public_transport=stop_area → no problem here, it seems to be the right way of tagging, and from my observations it is what most people do. But the page also said: this relation "[...] can be a member of a Relation:route [...]" → here I don't agree: a stop_area is not part of a route. I don't see any mention of that in the Relation:route page, nor in the more recently approved public_transport#Route page. If you are referring to Bangkok relation MRT Blue Line, IMO this route is wrongly tagged (other stations given in example are correctly tagged). Am I missing something?
I agree with you that it must be possible to have multiple subway entrances: relation public_transport=stop_area may have multiples members with role "entrance"... though it is not explicitly written in the page. Do you think it would be clearer if I tell it explicitly?
The section explaining how to create the relation public_transport=stop_area was removed because it rephrased page public_transport=stop_area → I replaced it by a link. But the page public_transport=stop_area misses subway entrances in the listing of its members (maybe I'll complete it when I have time...).
I added comments in the talk page on my motivations for rewriting most of the page, and the statistics on current usage. Tell me if page needs improvements. --Oligo 13:06, 12 July 2012 (BST)

Thank you for your warning. I was confused with the functioning of templates, and I see that I made a mistake. Corrected! --Tony Rotondas (talk) 16:30, 2 September 2013 (UTC)
