OK, we have this mapping data. What can be done with it? What can you do with it? Here are some examples to inspire you:

Analyses
(maybe with some own code, like scripts or sql-queries on postgis-imported osm data)
- Length of hiking paths around home
- History/Tracking of constructions/changes in a region (after it is completely mapped)
- In combination with DEM (digital elevation model) data, accumulated height differences of planned cycle tours, etc. can automatically be computed
Blood bank on the internet
Get people willing to donate blood to put their blood group and contact info on the map
