English: "Pro shop" at the East Potomac Golf Course in East Potomac Park in Washington, D.C., in the United States. A "pro shop" is jargon for "professional's shop". Although the term once referred to the on-site store where the course professional sold golf clubs, balls, clothing, and other paraphernalia, now most "pro shops" are managed by companies or vendors and have no connection to the course's professional golfer.
