Note
As you can see from the discussion page, this tagging scheme should not be used because it conflicts with the established meaning of parking=* with values like "surface", "multistorey" and "underground", i.e. physical characteristics of the parking.
Proposal
Create a new/value to specify the carpooling usage of some car park. The goal of carpooling is to share private vehicle by some peoples who defined a rendez-vous on a parking.
Applies to

Required tags
The tag parking=carpool is added on objects who was already tag as amenity=parking.
