trash bin

This page has been labelled for deletion.
The given reason is: outdated and unmaintained information according to https://github.com/openstreetmap/operations/issues/591.

This normally means the page title is a bad one, and the content has been moved somewhere better. If a page title is vaguely meaningful, the page should perhaps be a redirect, or hold a small summary for historical interest instead. If you disagree with its deletion, please explain why on its talk page.
The page should now be empty apart from this message (as per procedure). The page history shows what used to be on this page, and allows people to rescue an old revision. We may decide to do this, but otherwise a wiki sysop user can delete this page more permanently at some point. In the meantime we should fix any pages linking to here.

Re-Organise Racks

Osm-cab-layer-22Aug09.png
TV = Monitor + mounting, used with the KVM. Not actually a TV. That would be daft.

Plan of Action

  • remove doors and assorted "other stuff" from the vicinity and from above the racks
  • strip servers out of LH rack and move next door
  • rebuild LH rack @ 70cm depth MEANWHILE rebuild rails at 70cm depth for smaug etc
  • rack servers into LH rack
  • remove servers from RH rack
  • rebuilt RH rack @ 70cm depth MEANWHILE rebuild rails at 70cm depth for all remaining
  • figure the wiggle
  • rack servers into RH rack MEANWHILE attach PDUs to rear of cabs with skyhooks
  • recable everything
  • find somewhere to put the dead pile (Dulcy and the empty box)
  • put all the "other stuff" back into the right place
  • go to the pub^WAGM

ALL DONE - including getting to the pub.
