An Emergency Assembly Point (EAP), muster point, meeting point or staging area is a designated place or an area where all employees, passengers or a large crowd assemble in case of an emergency in an installation, building or a public place.
Purpose
Using the assembly_point namespace you can specify which emergency types an assembly point is designed for:

Usage observation
About 5700 of the 13,177 current uses of this tag (as of 2023-06) were introduced by an import in Taiwan, of shelter-functions of public buildings (schools, gov offices) in a case of emergency. The tag emergency=assembly_point is not well chosen for those.
