A plant nursery grows live plants for sale, much like a farm grows crops for food. Unlike a farm, a plant nursery generally sells the whole living plant, rather than produce. Plants being grown can include flowers, trees including Christmas trees.

To describe more details of the plant nursery the following additional tags can be used:

landuse=plant_nursery Defines that the land is being used as a plant nursery. The purpose of applying this tag must be for land that is used to produce trees, any other plantations that produce food must use landuse=orchard.
name=* The name of the feature, if applicable.
operator=* The name of the farmer/company which owns the plant nursery.
plant=* The generic type of plant that is grown. Possible values: tree, herb, bush, grass, vine, fern, moss, green-algae
genus=* (avoid this if species is known) Scientific name of the genus (first part of the scientific name) Refer to [W] Genus for details.
species=* Scientific name of the species (popularly known as the Latin name). Please use the namespaces for local languages. Refer to [W] Species for details.
