Under no circumstances should you (semi-)automatically change “deprecated” tags to something else in the database on a large scale without conforming to the automated edits code of conduct. Any such change will be reverted.

The parking:lane:hgv=* key is used to tag parking facilities for trucks (at the roadside) in commercial areas. This applies when:

  • parking is not prohibited
  • the road is wide enough to drive past a parked truck
  • parking for trucks is not prohibited.

It is convenient if there is a toilet, snack bar and shopping facilities nearby.
