I am trying to get this working under OSX 10.4. I installed the driver from BAFO. It appears in the System Profiler as a USB Serial device. However the /devcu.usbserial0 port was not created. Anyone know a work-around for this?

Thanks, phillmag at gmail dot com

Similar problems here. Once I figured it out I documented my setup in a mini tutorial on flickr (it's all based on tools you can use via GUI, ie just clicking, no command line): http://www.flickr.com/photos/mac/sets/72157604984866335/

While I did this on OSX 10.5.2 it will most likely work on OSX 10.4 as well. Since this article here is aimed more at the UNIX geek I didn't yet dare to post it to the article. --Macsteve 08:52, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

I had a different approach (different driver) and have my Serial2USB work as a RS232 on /dev/tty.RS-232 or something. Exact details unclear as I do not have my mac in front of me while writing this. I import tracks and waypoints using SimpleGPS for Mac. --Skippern 11:18, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
