-- Klainkaliber 16:33, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Pedestrian Routing

There seems to be a problem with how pedestrian routes are calculated. If I ask for a pedestrian route that should follow a unsufaced highway (highway=unsurfaced in OSM) for 100m and then a footway (highway=footway, surface=unpaved) then the routing calculation will avoid the unsurfaced highway and calculate the long way round. If I move the start point 100m to where the unsurfaced highway joins the footway the it routes along the footway. It looks therefore as if it won't route pedestrians along unsurfaced highways. Is this a problem with the routing program, or do I need to improve the tags in OSM? --MarkS 07:52, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Removing via point bug

Removing via point by clicking on "remove via point" does not remove via point from the map and to continue withoutit I should completely restart the search by reloading the page and setting start/end again, which is very annoying when, trying to explore several alternatives of routes. If there is a better place to report this bug, please let me know. Using Firefox 5. --Jakubt 11:12, 2 July 2011 (BST)

Strange letters in total route time

Does anyone know, what P and T in the following statement mean?

Total-Time: ~ P1 day(s) T1 hour(s) 32 minute(s)

Thanks! --Bstegmaier (talk) 11:44, 18 September 2013 (UTC)

Routing Data

Hi if the date in the upper right corner is correct, the routing data hasn't been updated for mor than a year. Is there an update planned for routing data? regards --Hedaja (talk) 22:21, 23 January 2014 (UTC)

Option: unfollow ways

I think it's necessary to add an "unfollow ways" option, in other words a "direct straight line between 2 points" option so that we can overpass some OSM errors such as ways not connected, wrong access restrictions... There are too many errors, unfortunately. Mechanically it will just ignore OSM ways, so i guess it's kind of easy to implement. The best place in the user interface would be i guess adding it in the "right click list".--SHARCRASH (talk)11:33, 30 September 2018 (UTC)

Delete proposal

This page is totally out of date. It describes the old version OpenRouteService from 2008/2009 but the current version is a full rewrite of both the frontend and the backend. I think that it is best to delete it. I expect that people looking for help either don't find this page at all or get even more confused by wrong than by missing documentation. --Nakaner (talk) 09:05, 23 October 2018 (UTC)

In addition, no page except redirect pages (which are linked from nowhere) links to this page any more. --Nakaner (talk) 09:11, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
