b = motorbike fits barely B = motorbike fits should't we want to change b/B to bicycle (bike), as i've never seen a motorbike-lane (and i am a biker; although this doesn't proove my point), but there are plenty of bicycle lanes... --blk 11:46, 1 Sep 2006 (BST)

That would be okay. I've never seen one either. It was intended as definition for roads that are too narrow for cars... But if we use the lane_layout (or better road_layout) as exact definition how the road looks (not just as width estimation by using vehicle units), it is indeed better to use b/B as bicycle. We'd also need a bus and/or taxi lane in that case. I don't care about the definitions I made up that much - all I care about is a possibility to tag roads according to their physical properties, however that is done. --Wollschaf 12:34, 1 Sep 2006 (BST)

International System of Units

We use SI on OSM, so a "m" for meters is not needed! --Phobie 21:18, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
