How to tag single golf courses?

I'm looking for something to tag the courses (Not sure if it's the correct term. I'm talking about the things with the holes in it (1 course = 1 hole).) of a minigolf-facility. --rayquaza 16:34, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

Wouldn't it be better to use leisure=pitch,sport=miniature_golf?

Wouldn't it be better to use Tag:leisure=pitch,sport=miniature_golf? I don't see why this is treated as a special case. Is it because it's "not a sport"? I don't think that's a critical issue. I would argue that the area in which crazy golf is played is pretty well described as a "pitch" in the same way the term is used in OSM for the areas used for e.g. basketball or skateboard. --Danstowell (talk) 13:16, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

Just to note: a fairly important justification for my assertion is that using "pitch" would mean renderers don't need any special rules, they can render them just like any other pitch. See here, where at the moment crazy-golf is just rendered as an absent space with a name in it: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?box=yes&bbox=-3.5211361%2C50.4652392%2C-3.5211361%2C50.4652392# --Danstowell (talk) 14:51, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

@Danstowell: in this case this golfing area is simply not mapped so has no chance to appear Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 07:34, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
Back in 2013, when I made these comments, I had probably mapped it. --Danstowell (talk) 08:17, 21 January 2021 (UTC)

How to map individual holes?

How should individual holes be mapped at a mini golf course? --Mbeyerle (talk) 23:05, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
