State Of The Map 2007/Lightning Talks
As part of the State Of The Map 2007 conference, delegates were able to give 'lightning' talks or presentations, in between slots of the schedules.
Rob McKinnon discussed the need for good, free, up-to-date political boundaries data, which could then be used to visualise statistics such as those from the CIA World Factbook. One complication, he suggested, was that countries change over time, and so perhaps the boundaries need start and end dates?
Etienne gave a brief overview of some of the work he's done on version 5 of Osmarender.
