Orange Blossom Trail between Apopka and Mount Dora was built in about 1920. The 1919 Automobile Blue Book shows the old main road. It appears to have crossed the railroad at Hermit Smith and again at the curve to the right before the airstrip. Then it curved away on Junction, [how through Zellwood?], west on Jones (formerly known as Apopka Street), back onto OBT, north on Laughlin, west on Holly, back to OBT, west on Lake Ola, north on Lake, west on Dudley, north on Allen, west on Beauclair, north on Clayton, east on Crane, and onto Old 441.
