Hi,

As you're probably aware the Data Working Group has been asked to look at the use of names in Belarus, following the conflict there between the different factions. In your edit https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/w/index.php?title=Multilingual_names&type=revision&diff=1503843&oldid=1501734 you say "following a couple of discussions with OSM and OSM-based map users, this rule has been changed".

Can you provide a bit more information about this discussion? Who was consulted? At the DWG we're trying to understand some of the history here, so apologies if we're asking what may seem to be obvious questions.
