USTP YouthMappers is the official YouthMappers chapter of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines - Cagayan de Oro (USTP-CDO). Established in July 2021, it also serves as the mapping arm of the Department of Geodetic Engineering under the College of Engineering and Architecture of USTP-CDO. Formerly, USTP YouthMappers operates under the umbrella organization USTP AGES (Association of Geodetic Engineering Students), the official student body of the Department of Geodetic Engineering, and is dedicated to promoting geospatial knowledge and skills among the youth.

History and Background
USTP YouthMappers was founded by Engr. Denrazir Atara, the serving moderator, along with the pioneering officers for the chapter under the leadership of Jovi Frances Lofranco. Initially, the organization was exclusively open to Geodetic Engineering students at USTP-CDO. However, recognizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, USTP YouthMappers has now expanded its membership to include students from other programs and faculties. Currently, we have members that are students from the Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Environmental Science programs among others.

Projects and Initiatives
Over the last few years, USTP YouthMappers has successfully conducted several funded projects, focusing on utilizing mapping and geospatial technologies for the betterment of communities. These projects have ranged from mapping vulnerable areas for disaster preparedness to supporting environmental conservation initiatives through geospatial analysis.
With a vision to broaden its impact, the USTP YouthMappers chapter is actively considering expanding its reach to the Alubijid campus of USTP. By establishing a secondary chapter, the organization aims to involve more students and extend its community development efforts to a wider geographical area.
