Church building no longer used for religious purposes, converted into apartments. building:use=apartments building=church would be a correct tagging here
- Tag:building=church: for a building constructed as a church, but note this does not indicate the current use.
- Tag:amenity=place of worship + religion=christian: somewhere used as a Christian place of worship. Often it is also a building=church, but not always.
Three cases
- Built as a church, used as a church: building=church + [ amenity=place_of_worship + religion=christian ].
- Built as a church, used for something else or closed: building=church + tags for current use (see building:use=*)
- Built as something else, used for Christian worship: building=* + [ amenity=place_of_worship + religion=christian. E.g., warehouse building converted into place of worship.
