How to map elevators

How do I map elevators? ID does not mark the "highway=elevator" with an elevator icon. Also, the ground-level elevator outside a metro station is a metro entrance, so "railway=subway_entrance" should be added to it. Sync with Public_Transport

I suggest to bring this page in sync with the more well-known Public Transport Version 2 scheme. This means:

• adding a cross-reference in the introduction
• suggesting to map tracks as in reality (almost always two, sometimes more, rarely only one) or not at all
• dropping the suggestion to put the railway=station node on the railway tracks
