Wakeboarding is a water sport in which the rider, standing on a wakeboard, is towed behind a motorboat in order to perform aerial maneuvers.

Nowadays, using a waterski lift (see  Cable_skiing and Tag:sport=water_ski) as towing device for wakeboarding has become more and more popular : this is often referred as cable wakeboarding, done in dedicated water sports centres called cable parks (in these place, there are also skateboard-like obstacles (features) for performing other kinds of jumps/maneuvers).
