Summary

Description
English: The most elegant jewelry can start and finish with the most basic equipment. Shown from left to right is a combination grinder and polishing machine, a trim saw for cutting small pieces, and a larger saw for cutting larger rocks. This GIA Graduate Gemologist produces countless finished stones with this equipment, some cabachons destined for the rings, pendants, and necklaces he creates. While an outdoor table may not be as impressive as a mainstream jewelry manufacturer's workshop, thousands of individual artisans around the country make their living in such settings, this area benefitting from strong, natural, and yet diffused sunlight.
