Information

Description In the wake of Typhoon Ondoy that struck the Philipines in 2009, MapAction sprung to action producing situation maps. Some of these maps, like the one above showing the depth of flooding in Metro Manila, use OSM road data. Administrative boundary data came from GeoData, a local GIS company. See Humanitarian OSM Team/philippines ondoy for more Ondoy-related OSM mapping.

Note: a local datum was used and it seems that no datum conversion was done to the OSM data to fit this datum. So the OSM data does not match the administrative boundaries.
