GPSBabel is a handy tool that can convert the various data formats to the desired GPX format. See Converting GPS track data between formats for a list of files that can be converted using GPSBabel and other programs. See also Making GPX Tracks.
GPSBabel is available for Macintosh, Windows, and *nix at www.gpsbabel.org. There are binary packages for Windows and Mac OSX.
- For Windows and OSX download the package and uncompress the files.
- Under Linux, GPSBabel is included already in all the major linux distributions, but if it is not available you can download the source package, uncompress it, and type 'make.'
- On Debian/Ubuntu, apt-get install gpsbabel.
- On Fedora, yum install gpsbabel.
- On Mandriva, urpmi gpsbabel.
Graphical frontends
GPSBabel is a command line application run from a console window or command shell. Here are some of the graphical frontends you can use to make it easier.
