Motivation
There appear to be no tags for massage shops, and there are quite a lot of them around. Personally I (Sybren) want to map Wat Pho (on OSM) as their good service and friendly ways deserve the extra attention they get by proper mapping on OSM, but there are many more massage shops in Amsterdam alone, and of course many more in the entire world.
Further specification of massage type
Along with this proposal I (Sybren) suggest a further specification of the type of massage using massage=*, for instance massage=thai or massage=acupressure. For different types of massages see Massage on Wikipedia.
Therapeutic, sexual or other massage?
People tend to expect different things from massages. For me a "Thai massage" is a traditional Thai massage and should simply be tagged with massage=thai. A sexual Thai massage could be tagged as massage=sexual_thai or anything you'd like. The purpose of this proposition is to create at least a standard of tagging massage shops using shop=massage and leave the details to massage=* and note=* users.
