Description

Sometimes we have a restrictive sign, that doesn't have exceptions, but has a sort of vehicles, for which this sign is operating. It doesn't mean, that we have a part of road, which is prohibited for using: perhaps, we have a crossing with restriction for some actions for some vehicles. In such cases it is more comfortable to mark vehicles, for which sign is operating, not exceptions from restrictions.

Originally, tag for= was suggested, but remark was made, that in such case software, that doesn't know, how to work with new tag, will be thinking, that there is a restriction for all vehicles. If we use type=restriction:hgv, type=restriction:caravan, type=restriction:motorcar, type=restriction:bus, type=restriction:agricultural, type=restriction:motorcycle, type=restriction:bicycle, type=restriction:hazmat software, that doesn't know, how to work with new tag, will be thinking, that there is no any restriction for all vehicles. Another variant is using restriction:hvg=, restriction:caravan=, restriction:motorcar=, restriction:bus=, restriction:agricultural=, restriction:motorcycle=, restriction:bicycle=, restriction:hazmat=. Also there is tag only=, which is now used in indicated labels.

When commenting, please, mark: a) do you support and idea of marking vehicles, for which restriction is operating? b) do you support Variant I (type=restriction:hgv, type=restriction:caravan, type=restriction:motorcar, type=restriction:bus, type=restriction:agricultural, type=restriction:motorcycle, type=restriction:bicycle, type=restriction:hazmat)? c) do you support Variant II (restriction:hvg=, restriction:caravan=, restriction:motorcar=, restriction:bus=, restriction:agricultural=, restriction:motorcycle=, restriction:bicycle=, restriction:hazmat=)? d) do you support Variant III (only=)? e) do you support Variant IV (for=)?

Questions:
1) How do you think, can we have possibility to mark in restrictions not only exceptions from this restrictions, but types of vehicles, for which restriction is operating?
2a) Do you think, that Variant I (with using type=restriction:<type of vehicel>=) is acceptable?
2b) Do you think, that Variant II (with usung restriction:<type of vehicle>=) is acceptable?
2c) Do you think, that Varian III (with using tag only=) is acceptabel?
2d) Do you think, that Variant IV (with using tag for=) is acceptable?
2e) If you think, that we can have possibility to mark in restrictions not only exceptions from this restrictions, but types of vehicles, for which restriction is operating, but don't consider Variants I, II, III and IV acceptable, what realization do you suppose?
