I can't really see your objection to the 'amenity' tag. If you are suggesting that a post office, for instance, should be tagged as building=detached, use=post_office, how would that be different from building=detached, amenity=post_office? Rather than changing the existing tags, all that would be needed is to use the proposed tag buidling=? to add futher information to an existing object. Dmgroom 17:28, 23 Aug 2006 (BST)
