Attribution/data.gov.au explicit permission

In September-October 2011, I had correspondence with data.gov.au where I explicitly pointed out we are moving to another license specifically written for open data, that it might not jive with CC-BY and that they may not be happy with the provisions for downstream attributions. I asked them if they could explicitly give us permission to continue use or if we should remove it. The conclusion was that we can continue as per an attribution statement I drafted with their input. This actively reviewed by data.gov.au to their satisfaction and they have kindly confirmed such in an email message that I am allowed to publish as copied below, (email headers at the bottom).
