Development Seed Data

In 2018, Mapbox's Ayacucho-based data team was transferred to Development Seed. [1]

The Development Seed Data team equips our global partners with high quality data to make better decisions. DevSeed Data creates data to power more accurate machine learning, improve access to power and services, timely disaster response, and map the undermapped parts of the world.

In 2024, the data team was spun off into a separate company, GeoCompas. [2]
