Key:protect id
From OpenStreetMap Wiki
protect_id is the former identifier for the boundary=protected_area tag, to classificate (samples of) areas with a similar style of protection. Because "_id" is "misleading" ("ID" is a tool to find and mark an "unique area" and not a sample of "related areas") a new key was launched: protect_class=*.
protect_id, relating to boundary=protected_area with its values 1 to 99, will become rendered (once) in the same way than protect_class=*. protect_id might become replaced once by protect_class=*.
Further specification about this classification, you find on the boundary=protected_area page.
