This tag is used when an object or area is in a restricted area. A person in such an area likely does not have ready access to other security zones, and thus will be interested only in features within the same zone. For example:


Suggested Values

The name of the zone should match the name used by the facility. Names should be consistent within a given facility, but need not otherwise use a common vocabulary. Possible names include:

The usual rules for access=* tags still apply. If the tagged item is accessible only to airport employees it should be tagged access=private or simply left off the map. If the feature is not behind a checkpoint of some sort, do not use this tag.
