Published by the Ordnance Survey from the 19th Century. Early non OS grid version (County Series) to the Cassini projection and later OS grid versions.

Scale 1:10,560 (Exactly 6-inch to 1 mile)

Sheets coverage of the later versions is 5km x 5km. These are known as quarter sheets, there being four sheets (NW,NE,SW,SE) for each standard sheet reference (eg. SP 48 NW, SP 48 NE, SP 48 SW & SP 48 SE).

The collection obtained by blackadder is from the late 1950's onwards. For earlier County series maps prior to the 1960's please see the National Library of Scotland collection.
