Aren't all tags "artificially introduced"? What about "Any tags you like"? What's the reason of this deprecation, where was this deprecation discussed? See also: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/mobile-phone-repair-shops/98479 --Ivanbranco (talk) 12:06, 4 June 2023 (UTC)

Sabotage of a standardized namespace

The guy who created this page acted intentionally to sabotage any standard, this happens now for several years. Most likely these entries have been done by just one or two persons suffixes / prefixes Rtfm (talk) 12:37, 4 June 2023 (UTC)

I don't know who created this page (and I don't really care). The fact is that this key is in use (I used it myself), and has been used by many other users. It has 1227 uses vs 32 uses of electronics:repair (which is the key you are supporting). Of course it can be deprecated, but after a discussion. Does this discussion exist? --Ivanbranco (talk) 12:47, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
That would be me. I seem to his favorite spook for some reason. Not that it matters since he's blocked, but I created the article in December 2020. At that time electronics_repair had like 400 uses and electronics:repair had 1. RTFM didn't even create the article for electronics:repair until July of 2021 and at that point the tag only had like 20 uses. So it would have been impossible for me to sabotage electronics:repair when created I article. Although it wouldn't have been sabotage anyway even if the tag was already in use and there was an article for it at the time, but that's beside the point. At least its been worked out in the meantime though. Thanks for getting the ball rolling by starting the conversation on the community forum about it and whatnot. --Adamant1 (talk) 00:49, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
