Perspective from Poland

As someone from Poland or more general Europe... People there involved in historic research had various very clear biases, and many maps were created to be propaganda pieces.

Maps were also widely used as justification and tools for genocides, mass murder and expulsions by occupying powers. Also when targeted groups would not be covered by "indigenous lands and people" term as used nowadays.

This text, while mentioning biases, is heavily biased toward USA/Australia/Canada perspective/language and problems caused by colonial powers where omitting other cases where maps were used for evil purposes in the past. For example in various wars/occupations/persecutions internal to Europe. It may also poorly cover similar issues in other parts of the world.
