Introduction

I would like a tool to track progress of mapping, all around the world, in a crowd-sourced way.

A tool where mappers could inform each other of what they are doing, and where.

The same tool could provide monitoring of the database, users would be able to register for notifications.

Details

I don't yet have a global view of the tool. Thus I will focus on a functional description of key parts.

Teams

As some tasks might be quite big, and work should usually be distributed, we'll have to support teams. I mean group of users that can take the same responsibilities as individual users. Then the tool should provide an interface to share the work between members of the team.
