Bus stops

There is a WFS by geoservices.bz.it. You cannot open a WFS in JOSM, but you can convert it to a geojson file with QGIS and open that in JOSM.

Open QGIS, then select: "Layer | Add Layer | Add WFS Layer ..."

Create a new service connection to: https://geoservices1.civis.bz.it/geoserver/p_bz-TransportNetwork/ows?Service=WFS&request=getCapabilities

Then Connect, and select "Personenverkehr, Haltestellen", then click "Add".

In the "Layers" window, right click on the new layer and select: "Export | Save Features As ..." Select Format: GeoJSON, CRS: WGS 84, enter a filename and hit OK.

Commercials

There is fierce competition between tourism operators in the valley. So watch out for these:

Alpine Hut Not!

Lots of places tagged as alpine huts do not qualify. Operators like to tag their ski bars and summer recreational huts as alpine hut because that shows a more prominent symbol on the map. This could lead to dangerous misunderstandings. Required properties for an alpine hut are (among others):

  • You will find food, shelter and sleeping places, and
  • Permanent human presence during the opening period from staff to provide services.

Fake or 'fixed' Signposts

Operators sometimes put up fake signpost to draw hikers to their place, even inventing hiking routes.
