Background

I'm a mapper and programmer with a background in the natural sciences and mountaineering. I also run an independent consultancy dbsgeo around mapping.

I recently returned from Haiti, deployed with the Humanitarian_OSM_Team.

OSM involvement

I'm am frequently found teaching people about contributing to, and making maps, with OSM data. I am an active contributer to the Mapnik project and enjoy working with OSM members to improve the quality and ease of rendering OSM maps with Mapnik.
