Why do you say landuse=reservoir is incorrect for an area of land used as a reservoir? We don't tag each individual house as landuse=residential, and we shouldn't have only the areas actually covered by water be landuse=reservoir. --NE2 23:15, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

While I think you have a point (although the OSM wiki does describe landuse=reservoir as "Man made body of stored water. May be covered or uncovered."), the areas in question are not reservoirs, but (usually forested) lands that surround a well, water tower or a reservoir. They are from MassGIS OpenSpace layer and are classified as "Water Supply Protection Land" - not as reservoirs - this was a mistake in the import (which has been acknowledged by all local mappers I've discussed with). Anyway, simply put, I'm just agreeing with other local mappers and continuing their work. Do you actually think it's incorrect? -- Ahlzen 01:25, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
