I think you misunderstood the https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Name_finder:Abbreviations page. It should list common abbreviation that a lot of places share. I think abbreviations like "Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry" or "New Okhla Industrial Development Area" exist only for one place.

You can use the short_name tag, for example University College London --Mtmail (talk) 14:56, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
