Viscan YouthMappers (or VYM for short)  is a Philippine-based local chapter of the International Organization called YouthMappers. It is known as the only chapter for YouthMappers at Visayas State University and is the 10th recognized chapter in the Philippines. It was established last April 2022. Through the use of open data sources, it seeks to address humanitarian-related issues and offers opportunities for students to sharpen their geographic analysis and cartographic skills.

Our Organization is a member of the YouthMappers Network. To learn about this global university consortium go to their OSM wiki linked here or visit their website at youthmappers.org.

Vision

To cultivate a generation of young people to become leaders in creating resilient communities and empowering them to define their world by mapping it.
