Illustration of Tag:landuse=farmyard and Tag:landuse=farm (wrong)

landuse=farm?

The image includes the Tag:landuse=farm tag which these days appears to be more thoroughly documented as the wrong tag to use for mapping farmers fields (like those shown in the image).

This image has been redrawn to show landuse=farmland in this superseding version:

File:Landuse=farmland.jpg

We should probably keep this wrong image as a historical record of these (very long ongoing) discussions. For example this image was first created by Harry Wood and appeared in his diary about it at the time here in August 2009, but to clarify this issue it will be renamed from it's original wiki file name "File:Landuse=farmyard.jpg"

Other notes

It was never the intention of this image to indicate the landuse=farm polygon must be drawn around individual fields. Exactly where you draw the polygons is still up for discussion.

License

The photo was taken by Harry Wood during the Pately Bridge Mapping Party. Beautiful Nidderdale! And the tagging bits added on top were also by Harry.
