The tag delivery_point=yes|no can used to clarify whether a building or site which is tagged with a postal address is able to be used for the delivery of general mail to that address.

The value delivery_point=yes is the assumed default for any map entity tagged with a unique postal address. Typically this tag/value would only be useful where more than one entity shares the same postal address in which case each entity could be tagged yes or no as appropriate. For example, this could be useful where a building has more than one entrance or where mail is delivered to one or more mail boxes not located at a building entrance (see also amenity=letter_box).

The value delivery_point=no can be added to a map entity which is tagged with a postal address but to which mail deliveries cannot be made - either because an alternative location should be used (as above), or because it would be functionally inappropriate (eg because the building or site is generally unoccupied). This is distinct from the case where access for deliveries is controlled or restricted, in which case an appropriate value to delivery_point:access=* should be used instead.
