A name in Washo (used in the USA).
This tag has only 12 uses, 5 of which are actual names in Washo, the rest are uses of the wrong tag.
Note that this tag is useful when an object has names specified in more than one language:
- If name=* is in Washo then it specifies which language is used in the main name tag
- If name=* is in a different language then it specifies the name in Washo
Use old_name=* for the old name of a feature in English or another language. (or use was:name=* however most of the OSM community would like the former key used for old names[1]).
