Description
A place/house/area, where you can rent a boat (equal a car_rental). There are a lot of boat_rentals worldwide mostly in Holiday Destinations. per exaple rentals for pedalboats, jetskis, rowboats, motorboats...
Rationale
In a lot of Holiday Destinations are rentals for some kinds of boats. Its useful, if these rentals are visible. So the tourists can plan in advance their activities in their holiday.
Tagging
Usage
- Add a node tagged amenity=boat_rental in the center of the rental-destination (pier, house).
- If there is just an area (p.e. an area marked with buoys for pedalboat on a lake), which is not allowed to leave, it should tagged as an area as amenity=boat_rental.

If there is a way for the rentalboats, it should tagged as an way--Efred 05:35, 12 March 2010 (UTC) (see discussion) as amenity=boat_rental (p.e. for houseboats on rivers in Ireland). Optional, it can also tagged as an relation
