Manual drivers are the simplest for of primary mechanical power for a large diversity of devices. Human power is provided to a mechanical system with the help of a handle=*.

It's for instance relevant to use it in combination with man_made=pump

Note that mechanical_driver=* should not be confused with actuator=* as the first is a primary energy source for a system while the last only commands it.
