Rainbow as a color

colour=rainbow is about as common as crossing:marking=rainbow. colour=rainbow has the advantage of being applicable to things other than crossings; some existing uses are on leisure=pitch [1], barrier=jersey_barrier [2], and amenity=bench [3]. The downside is that it stretches the meaning of a "color" beyond what some data consumers may be expecting, but it's not like software expecting colour=* to be a solid color would be able to assign an accurate color to a rainbow-colored surface anyways. – Minh Nguyễn 💬 20:58, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
